For Ankita :)

The moon in the night surrounded by stars
The chair car journey and those seven hours
The chat on the phone and the nonsense discussed
The “I have paid more, you’ll have to adjust”
Doing five things to make you happy the other day
The gossip about the PG girls during our stay
Talking all night whenever you used to bother
And later having dinner in one plate together
All the moments of togetherness, that we’ve been through
And most important of all, my dear Ankita you
Have been invaluable.

Clutter

Did I tell you about the grey patch
That defeats the transparency of my mind
And like a lunatic
screeches away the blissful calm?

At times I feel to have lost
The stillness that I let rule myself before
And all I can see left now
Is the cacophony of silence

Should I consider taking refuge
In somebody called optimism?
I am sure tired he must be
Of my restatements.

Hence resentfully I am dragged back
To be at war with the grey patch
Only to learn that the peace of my mind
Costs its own self.

Vacuum

Space is claustrophobic void
Silence is an unheard cry
A dreams comes out in nothingness
And dies
A thousand deaths.

Boondein

Kabhi safed si os me chuchaap si so jaati hain boondein
Kabhi aankhon ke paani me chhup kar rulati hain boondein
Kuch log kehte hain ki jhoot hai ye magar
Har waqt har pal mera saath nibhaati hain boondein

Aksar khamoshi ki awaaz me kuch kehti hain
Har ek dard ko khud me samet kar khush rehti hain
Har lamha beet ta hai ek arse jaisa
Aur har arse me jane kya kya seh jaati hain boondein

Jab sari sari raat neend nahi aati hai
Jab koi khwahish khuli aankhon me sapne le aati hai
Aur wo sapne jab sach hone ko hote hain
Tab khushiyaan ban kar aankhon se beh jaati hain boondein

Na jaane kya kuch apne me samet ti hain boondein
Upar se nahi kehti bass andar se dekhti hain boondein
Jab koi nahi deta do kadam ka saath bhi

Us waqt mere saath akeli reh jaati hain boondein
